1st January 2006 Business Venturing announces the launch of their web site to support people who are interested in starting their own ventures. This web site is aimed to be a business start-up advice site that incorporates a networking forum. Members can seek business advice and knowledge, and interact with other members of the business start-up community in discussions and the sharing of ideas through the forum. Amongst the special features that can be found on this site is a real-time weblog (blog) facility which is an online diary that features existing start-up businesses as they take on the challenges of business venturing. When asked about the site, one of the founders, Andrew Read, said "This will prove to be an invaluable resource, and help small businesses rapidly overcome their challenges during the early stages of start-up. It will provide extensive 'real-world' insight from an experienced networked community. We understand, ourselves, how valuable it is to have support from a community such as this during the start-up phase of a business".
